Job summary

Lucion Ground Engineering is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer who enjoys being outdoors and learning by doing. You’ll work on real UK projects, logging samples, supervising drilling rigs, and turning site data into engineering reports.

This is a hands-on role with structured training and mentoring to build core technical skills. You’ll travel across the UK, collaborate with clients and colleagues, and develop practical experience in ground investigations.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Sciences or something similar.
• An interest in ground investigation and outdoor work.
• A willingness to travel and work in weather.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervising drilling rigs and trial pits.
• Logging soil and rock samples.
• Getting involved in in-situ testing.
• Collecting data for geotechnical and environmental assessments.
• Helping produce factual and interpretative reports.
• Working with contractors, clients and colleagues across the business.
