Job description
Overview

Our clients are a well-established geotechnical, environmental, structural and design consultancy providing development services and solutions to aid both large and small developers in a wide variety of sectors including commercial, retail, residential (private individuals through to large PLC's), education, healthcare, social housing, transport, and leisure and hospitality.

Duties
  • A main emphasis on fieldwork for 2 years.
  • The supervision and management of site investigations.
  • Preparation of Health & Safety documentation.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • Minimum qualification of a degree in one of the Earth Sciences.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant fieldwork experience (supervision and logging of site investigations in the UK).
  • Willingness to work outdoors, away from home and occasionally unsociable hours.
  • Fieldwork can be physically demanding so a good level of personal fitness is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal/ team working skills.
  • Deal with and preferably enjoy the rapidly changing situations.
  • Experience of; British soils and geology, logging soil and rock to current British Standards, experience of contaminated land assessment, and geotechnical investigation.
  • Full UK Driving License essential (Category B manual gears).
  • The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.
