About the Role

To support Amentum’s worldwide $14B F25 workload and geotechnical projects in industries like Defence, Nuclear Power, Environment, and Critical Infrastructure, we seek Geotechnical Design Engineers at various experience levels, including:

• Geotechnical Design Engineer
• Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer (Chartered or approaching)

We operate under flexible working arrangements, with a mix of office and home working. Bristol is preferred, but other locations like Oxford, Reading, London, or Glasgow are also considered.

As a Ground Engineering Professional, you will manage ground risk through geotechnical assessment, analysis, design, and supervision across diverse projects in the UK and internationally. Responsibilities include:

• Feasibility studies, value engineering, sustainability studies
• Ground investigations, testing, data management
• Soil and rock characterization and modeling
• Numerical and finite element analyses, including seismic and dynamic analysis
• Design of structures like foundations, retaining walls, basements, earthworks, ground improvement, anchors, soil nails, etc.
• Construction specifications and technical assurance
