Job summary

A leading construction company, STRABAG SE, is offering an apprenticeship in tunnelling construction. This role provides the opportunity to learn vital surveying skills in a professional setting while contributing to site data collection and geospatial project planning under expert guidance.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent required.

Job description

  • GCSE or equivalent: 5 GCSEs including Maths, English, and preferably Geography (Grade 4) essential.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Teamworking skills.

STRABAG - More than just a construction company

  • Assist the surveyor on site at a range of client premises with collecting site data such as ground levels, buildings, service covers, trees, and street furniture.
  • Plan and prepare a Geospatial project brief from the client’s specifications, employing best practice geospatial techniques.
  • Set up and operate the latest survey technology under the guidance of a surveyor (including the Total Station, GPS, laser scanners, and underground utility detection equipment).
  • Undertake setting out under the guidance of a surveyor on site.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and other legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
