Job summary

Connor Fox Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Geospatial Analyst in Edinburgh with hybrid working options. You will work with geospatial data, platform and customers to design solutions, provide support and training, and help customers get the most from the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience or education-background in an environmental discipline such as nature, climate, and ecology.
• A foundation in geospatial data, GIS and analysis.
• GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth Engine.
• An ability to work with data, spot issues and solve problems practically.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work directly with customers.
• A curious, hands-on approach and willingness to learn new technology and ways of working.
• Good organisation and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a fast-moving environment.
• Most importantly, enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in. As a scale-up, things move quickly and no two days are necessarily the same.

Responsibilities

• Own frontline Help Desk support, resolving user queries promptly and escalating complex technical issues.
• Deliver customer onboarding, product training and feature walkthroughs.
• Create clear user guides and knowledge-base content to support self-service.
• Develop customer relationships, progressively taking ownership to support retention, growth and upselling.
• Work with customers to understand requirements, design solutions and implement them on the platform.
• Support data ingestion and operational processes in line with data-management protocols.
• Support business development through technical demonstrations and customer meetings.
• Contribute to case studies and other marketing content showcasing customer success and platform capabilities.
• Capture customer feedback and feature requests to inform product development and improve user experience.

Geospatial Analyst

Edinburgh - Hybrid - 3 days onsite

We're looking for a Geospatial Analyst to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a scale-up business where you'll have the chance to make a real contribution, work closely with customers and see the impact of your work.

This is a varied role where you'll work with geospatial data, platform and customers to help solve real-world problems. You'll work with customers to understand what they need, help design and build solutions, provide support and training, and use your geospatial and technical skills to help them get the most from the platform.

This would be a great opportunity for someone starting out in their geospatial career or looking to move into their second role. You don't need to know everything already — we're looking for someone who is curious, enjoys solving problems, is comfortable working with customers and wants to develop their skills.

As a growing scale-up, there's plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities as the business grows. You'll gain experience across geospatial analysis, data, solution design, customer support and product development, giving you the opportunity to build a broad range of skills and shape your career.

What you will do!

User Support & Training

What you will need!

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or technical support role.
• An interest in product development, customer success or business development.
