Job summary

Arup is seeking a geospatial engineer in the United Kingdom to design and maintain robust spatial data systems. You will help teams discover and trust geospatial information at project scale, enabling timely insights for infrastructure, energy, cities and environmental markets.

You should bring hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro/QGIS/ArcGIS Online or Enterprise, strong analytics and AI-enabled workflow capabilities, and proficiency with Python, SQL, Databricks or Azure.

Qualifications

• Experience with geospatial applications such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Ability to apply spatial analysis, modelling or AI-enabled workflows, including machine learning, Earth Observation, constraint analysis, route optioneering or site suitability.
• Confidence working with data engineering and cloud platforms such as Python, SQL, Databricks or Azure.
• Ability to build repeatable, scalable and reproducible tools for large spatial datasets and enterprise geospatial systems.
• Ability to translate business or engineering needs into robust spatial, analytical and AI-enabled workflows.
• A relevant degree, such as GIS, Remote Sensing/Earth Observation, Geography, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science or Environmental Science, or equivalent industry experience and demonstrated learning.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application and for the duration of employment.
