About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking engineering and surveying firm, is seeking a skilled Geospatial Civil Engineer to join their innovative team in Randburg, Gauteng . This role blends traditional civil engineering principles with advanced geospatial technologies, including GIS, GPS, and remote sensing, to support infrastructure design, planning, and asset management. You will be instrumental in leveraging spatial data to analyze environmental conditions, optimize project siting, and enhance decision-making across a variety of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering complemented by expertise in geospatial data analysis and management. This hybrid position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that require spatial intelligence, providing flexibility while ensuring collaborative project delivery in the vibrant Gauteng area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage geospatial databases for civil engineering projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a strong focus or specialization in GIS/Geospatial Science.
• Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
• Experience with spatial data formats, databases, and manipulation tools.
• Familiarity with GPS, LiDAR, and aerial/satellite imagery analysis.
• Understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles and project lifecycles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to spatial data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, collaborating both remotely and in the office.
• Experience with CAD software is an advantage.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
