Due to a recent commission for a client in the West London area, we are seeking and experienced Geospatial Surveyor for a fixed term contract to assist with the on-site survey works and day to day running for this specific project.

The role will require predominantly night working and will be based primarily on site, with some office time in normal working hours during survey down time. The project involved surveying internal areas of a large estate and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure surveys run smoothly and do not impact daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience as a Geospatial Surveyor in a similar role and be familiar with out of hours working.

The role is initially for a 12-month fixed term, however there is an option to extend subject to project requirements and candidate performance.

Duties

  • Surveyor for the project – liaising directly with stakeholders - manging project timescales and co-ordination alongside the project and survey lead.
  • Majority night shift working. Some office time during normal working hours when there is no scheduled surveying activity.
  • Installation, maintenance and validation of control survey networks.
  • Undertaking laser scan surveys of complex areas and environments, including scanning above ceiling voids and around mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Processing of survey data following completion of site work is advantageous.
  • Preparing 2D and 3D survey drawings/models using AutoCAD.
  • Presenting data to clients and writing reports
  • Working hours will generally be between 10pm and 6am – subject to site operations.
  • Working weekends may be required.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient user of Leica RTC360, Leica P40 or Trimble Laser Scanners
  • Proficient with setting up complex and large-scale survey control networks using Total Stations, Leica or Trimble.
  • Ability to process laser scan data to generate accurate, fully registered and cleaned point cloud data. Preference with experience in Leica Cyclone core and Register360.
  • Analysing survey data using 3DR or similar software is advantageous but not essential.
