Geography Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their dynamic Humanities department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5). The school has a strong emphasis on fieldwork and connecting classroom learning to the real world.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that inspire curiosity about the world.
  • Cover a range of physical and human geography topics, incorporating current events and global issues.
  • Develop students' geographical skills, including map reading, data analysis, fieldwork techniques, and critical thinking.
  • Organize and lead fieldwork trips (local, national, and potentially international – check with the school if this is accurate).
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry and debate.
  • Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Geography curriculum.

Requirements:
