Job description

An engaging and knowledgeable Geography Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Camden for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with the diversity of our planet and the interconnectedness of human and physical environments.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  2. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts.
  3. Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages geographical inquiry, critical thinking about global issues, and fieldwork.
  4. Assess and monitor student progress in Geography, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
  2. Demonstrated experience teaching Geography lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  3. A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of making geography relevant and engaging for students.
