About the School

This forward-thinking school places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, personal development, and empowerment through learning. The Geography Department is central to this mission helping girls explore human and physical geography through inquiry-based learning, critical debate, and real-world application.

The school looks after their staff, providing them with many benefits including loan of laptop and mouse for all teaching staff; employee centred and family friendly policies and practices; flexible working arrangements for work-life balance; and a cycle to work scheme.

Your Role:

  • Teach Geography to Key Stages 3 and 4, bringing the subject to life through inquiry and real-world contexts.

  • Foster intellectual curiosity through dynamic lessons, case studies, and discussions on global and environmental issues.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as eco-clubs and geography societies.

  • Work closely with a mentor to refine your teaching practice and classroom management.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold (or be working towards) QTS with a degree in Geography or a related field.

  • Be passionate about girls education and the role Geography plays in shaping independent, globally-minded thinkers.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and an inclusive teaching approach.
