Are you passionate about Geography and enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation of geographers? We are seeking a motivated and committed Teacher of Geography to join our vibrant and supportive Humanities department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a teacher with a few years of classroom experience who is eager to develop their practice and contribute to a thriving school community.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5 (Years 7-13). The successful candidate will have a strong subject knowledge and the ability to bring Geography to life in a way that captivates and motivates students of all abilities.
Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback
Support students in achieving their academic potential and fostering a love of the subject
Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and enrichment activities
A degree in Geography or a closely related field
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or working towards it
A passion for teaching and learning
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Willingness to engage in the wider life of the school
A supportive and collaborative staff team
A dedicated mentor for ECTs and strong professional development opportunities
Well-resourced classrooms and access to modern teaching technologies
A positive and inclusive school culture
