Key Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Foster a love for Geography by creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' understanding and engagement.
• Utilize a range of resources, including technology and real-world examples, to make lessons relevant and captivating.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a dynamic Geography curriculum.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of Geography and incorporate them into teaching practices.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues, maintaining open lines of communication.

Requirements for the role of Geography Teacher:

• Have Qualified Status Teacher (QTS) through a PGCE in Secondary Geography, B.Ed. with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching GCSE Geography within the last 2 years; A-Level experience is desirable but not essential.
• To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
• To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
• Hold an enhanced child work force DBS registered with the online update service, or, willing to apply for a new on through GSL Education.
