Geography Teacher — Nottingham

September 2025 • Full-time Contract • £140.00 - £252.00 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher looking for a new challenge in a supportive and thriving secondary school? We are a well-regarded school in the heart of Nottingham and are currently seeking a Geography Teacher to join their team in October 2025. This role will involve teaching key stage 3 to key stage 4. Ideally you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for this role. There is potential for a permanent contract in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Contribute to a supportive and positive learning environment and manage a diverse classroom.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to plan and assess student progress.
  • Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to wider school life as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, but we are open to considering strong candidates with significant teaching experience.
  • Experience: Solid background in teaching Geography with experience managing diverse classrooms and dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Skills: Exceptional classroom management, confident, proactive, and enthusiastic with a commitment to a positive learning environment.
  • Approach: Passion for the subject, ability to inspire and motivate students, and a creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
  • NQTs: Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome. A supportive environment with opportunities for professional development.
