Position: Geography Teacher
Location: Hull
Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience)
Commencement: Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Role Overview:

As a Geography Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality geography education and inspiring students to develop a love for the subject. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged.
  2. Teach geography lessons to students aged 11-18.
  3. Organise and supervise extracurricular geography activities and events, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject.
  4. Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  5. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  6. Promote health and safety in all activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Qualified Teaching Status (QTS), or equivalent certification.
  2. Be able to provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
  3. Experience in teaching geography is essential.
  4. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  5. The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in geography.
  6. Commitment to promoting a love for learning and a curiosity about the subject.
  7. Relevant qualifications or training in geography education (desirable but not essential).
