Job summary

Star Academies is seeking a Geography teacher for Eden Boys' Leadership Academy in Manchester. The post involves planning, delivering and reviewing geography lessons to secure pupil progression and attainment.

The successful candidate will hold a degree and QTS, be capable of teaching to GCSE standards, and bring experience in delivering outstanding outcomes while supporting safeguarding and inclusion across the school community.

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
• Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources appropriate to age and ability.

Strategic Direction and Development

Plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to age and ability.

Plan, deliver and review lessons which are appropriate to the age and ability of the pupils so as to facilitate progression in pupils’ learning.

Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of the pupils assigned.

Manage the classroom and teaching equipment so to create a positive learning environment which makes effective use of available resources.

Attend meetings, carry out administrative tasks and duties as required.

You will have:

A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
