Geography teacher – Cardiff - February start

Prospero Teaching is working with a large secondary school in Cardiff that is seeking a full-time, temporary Geography teacher to start after the half-term break in February and continue until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will teach Geography to Key Stage 3 & 4 classes with varying academic abilities.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging and challenging lessons, marking student work, providing regular feedback, attending departmental meetings, and being available for parents' evenings as required.

This role is open to ECTs and fully qualified teachers with QTS.

General Information:

• Location: Cardiff
• Position: KS3 & 4 Geography Teacher
• Start Date: February 2025
• End Date: July 2025
• Minimum Pay Rate: in line with your main pay scale
• Hours: 8 am – 4 pm (term time only)

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher of Geography
• Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 & 4
• Hold a valid and recognized teaching qualification

Applicants should have secondary school teaching experience, either permanently or supply, and be committed to the role for its entirety. Training in safeguarding, prevent awareness, behaviour management, and FGM will be provided if needed, with certificates issued within the last year or three years as applicable.

• DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
