Geography Teacher – Handsworth Secondary School

Full-Time | Long-Term Supply | Immediate Start (or After October Half Term)

Pay Rates: Dependent on experience between £168.80 – £261.78

Start Date: ASAP or after October half term.

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Supply

Connex Education are recruiting a passionate and motivated Geography Teacher for our vibrant, mixed mainstream secondary school client in the Handsworth area of Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term supply role teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4. The position is to start ASAP, however applications are also welcome from teachers who are available after the October half term.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Mark and assess student work in line with school and departmental expectations.
  • Maintain excellent standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Contribute positively to the Geography department and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements
  • QTS, QTLS, or ECT status – all welcome to apply.
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student achievement.
