Are you a passionate Geography Teacher looking to step into leadership? Or an experienced subject lead ready for an exciting new challenge?

We are seeking to appoint a Leader of Geography on a permanent basis to join the Humanities Team within a secondary school in Bradford. This is a full-time position starting in September 2025.

The Role

As Leader of Geography, you will be a key member of the Humanities Faculty, responsible for shaping the curriculum, driving standards, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. You will inspire students and staff with your passion for Geography and leadership skills.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Leading the delivery of the Geography curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Supporting and developing members of the Geography department
• Ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment
• Tracking student progress and implementing effective interventions
• Collaborating across the Humanities team to enhance cross-curricular opportunities
• Contributing to whole-school improvement and enrichment strategies

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified teacher (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) with a strong Geography specialism
• Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4, with a record of strong outcomes
• Leadership experience or the desire and capability to step into a middle leadership role
• A commitment to raising aspirations and closing the achievement gap
• A collaborative mindset and passion for team development
• Strong classroom management and curriculum planning skills
