The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Geography Lead to join us, in this role you will manage and oversee the development and business-wide adoption of HSEQ processes and procedures within the Geography. Focusing on integrating Arup's HSEQ culture and leading the day to day management of HSEQ in the Geography.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, driving and implementing the HSEQ strategies, Policies and procedures to enable the Geography objectives to be met in our operational risk zones-our offices and our Business. You will have experience of operating at senior levels within organisations, and understand the legislative frameworks across the region and the industry sector Arup operates in.

You will be required to influence the activities of HSEQ role holders, encourage best practice in all aspects of Health, Safety Environment and Quality in our Offices and our Business as they affect our people, travel, Safe by Design, and visits to sites including construction sites and specialist risk areas such as Rail and Nuclear. Working closely with the Geography leadership team to leverage consistent, cost-effective HSEQ management procedures and initiatives across the region

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

  • Have CDM practical experience
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of managing HSEQ Risk across the risk zones identified above.
  • Have experience in practical application of auditing for Safe by Design
  • Have specialist and managerial experience in Health and Safety
  • Are conversant with ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001
