Responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of Year 1 and Year 2 A Level Geography
• Assisting experienced lecturers during classroom-based learning
• Providing additional academic support to students, including one-to-one and small-group support
• Supporting students with coursework, revision and examination preparation
• Helping students develop their understanding and application of geographical concepts
• Assisting with the preparation and development of high-quality learning resources
• Supporting lesson planning and programme preparation
• Helping to monitor student progress, engagement and attendance
• Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and areas requiring additional support

Geography Graduate - College Support Role

Location: WF1
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate - September 2026

We are currently recruiting for a Geography Graduate to join a college setting in the WF1 area, supporting the delivery of A Level Geography across Year 1 and Year 2.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Geography graduate looking to build a career within Further Education, gaining valuable hands‑on experience alongside experienced teaching professionals.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Geography teaching team, supporting the delivery of the A Level programme while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence required to progress towards greater teaching responsibility in the future.

The Role

As a Geography Graduate, you will provide academic, classroom and programme support to A Level Geography students while working under the guidance of experienced lecturers.

You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of effective teaching and learning, curriculum planning, assessment, student progress and the wider responsibilities involved in delivering an A Level programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the delivery of Year 1 and Year 2 A Level Geography
• Assisting experienced lecturers during classroom-based learning
