Job summary
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our Leeds team. The role focuses on site investigations, reporting, and fieldwork supervision within a multidisciplinary consultancy providing civil, structural and environmental engineering services across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a geology/environmental science/civil engineering background, with at least two years of post-graduate experience, a UK driving licence, and the willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Degree in geology, environmental science, civil engineering or similar.
- Ideally a Masters in geoenvironmental or geotechnical discipline.
- At least two years of relevant post-graduate experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, report writing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare desk studies and technical reports.
- Produce factual and interpretative ground investigation reports.
- Monitor groundwater and ground gas; collect samples.
- Log and sample soils and rock during site investigations.
- Supervise ground investigation works and coordinate subcontractors.
- Support remediation and earthworks projects.
- Provide technical support to internal teams.
