Job summary

ALCEA CONSULTANCY LIMITED in Leeds is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to deliver site investigation projects within a multi-disciplinary team, including logging, sampling, and reporting, with supervision of remedial works.

The role requires a geology/environmental science background, 2+ years’ experience, and a driving license, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits in an employee‑owned consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years relevant post-graduate experience within a consultancy or ground investigation contractor.
• Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or similar is desirable.
• Working towards Chartered status with a professional body (Geological Society, CIWEM, CIEH or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Preparing desk studies and factual/interpretative ground investigation reports.
• Logging and sampling soil and rock.
• Carrying out ground gas and groundwater monitoring and sampling.
• Supervising ground investigation works and site operations.
• Supporting the delivery of projects within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
• Liaising with subcontractors and project teams.
• Assisting the civil and structural engineering teams with technical support.

Geoenvironmental / Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer - £28-£50K Dependant on level of experience - Leeds

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer with 25 years experience to support the delivery of site investigation projects and assist with the supervision of remedial works and earthworks across the UK.

The Role

As aGeoenvironmental Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting site investigation and environmental assessment projects while working closely with both the infrastructure and structural engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:
