Role: Unit Manager – HR

Location: London, UK

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geo HR Specialist to oversee and support HR-related activities in the UK. The HR Manager will be responsible for designing and institutionalizing HR processes and ensuring all local HR compliance is achieved.

Role and responsibilities

  1. Actively contribute to the design, development, local implementation, and coordination of HR strategies, policies, and operations in partnership with business unit and regional leadership.
  2. Evaluate challenges in the business and propose solutions to regional and corporate leadership.
  3. Work closely with leadership, line managers, and employees to support business needs.
  4. Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and workplace investigations.
  5. Ensure company policies and HR practices comply with UK employment laws and regulations.
  6. Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and proactively implement necessary updates.
  7. Support audits, legal cases, and compliance-related matters, collaborating with legal teams when required.
  8. Design employee engagement practices to create a positive work environment.
  9. Recommend and deliver local solutions covering multiple areas of human resources including onboarding, local benefits, training, employee/labour relations, or other services.
  10. Partner effectively with Central HR functions such as compensation, recruiting, payroll, and organizational effectiveness.

Minimum requirements

  1. Bachelor's or master’s degree in human resources, business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 10+ years of HR experience in the UK, ideally in an international matrix environment, with expertise in employee relations, UK employment law, compensation & benefits, HR compliance, and administration.
  3. Proven experience handling complex ER cases, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  4. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  5. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of professionalism.
