Job description

Geo-Environmental Technician

Location: Taunton

Reference: BY1798

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with a background in geotechnical, geo-environmental, earth science and/or ground investigation to join a South West based team on a range of projects. You'll be provided with the opportunity to work closely with the team and step into the ground investigation industry, developing skills and kickstarting your career.

This Geo-Environmental Technician role offers:

The successful Geo-Environmental Technician will be:
  1. Taking soil samples for assessment.
  2. Groundwater and gas monitoring.
  3. Carrying out contamination analysis and soakaway testing.
  4. Carrying out groundwork and assisting geotechnical engineers on projects.
  5. Working outdoors in all conditions, with lifting and heavy duty conditions to acknowledge.

To be considered for this Geo-Environmental Technician role you should:
  1. Hold a full UK driving licence (as travelling to sites will be frequent).
  2. Be commutable or living in the Taunton area.
  3. Have a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, earth sciences or a similar relevant subject.
  4. Have a full right to work in the UK.
  5. Be willing to work in all demanding conditions.
