Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to work on Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations across southern England. You will join a collaborative team and build on early career experience while taking on more responsibility in a supportive environment.

Youll plan, deliver and report investigations, liaise with clients and regulators, log samples, manage lab testing and assess soil/ groundwater risks, contributing to brownfield redevelopment projects.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in geology, environmental science or related discipline.
• 1–3 years experience in geo-environmental or related consultancy.
• Strong communication and report writing with attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of contamination topics, guidance and legislation.
• UK driving licence and regular use of a car.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and report on Phase 1 and Phase 2 geo-environmental and geotechnical site investigations.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, Ridge teams, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Log soil and rock samples to a consistent and competent standard.
• Schedule and manage laboratory testing.
• Carry out soil and groundwater risk assessments.
• Work with colleagues, clients and contractors on site and in the office.
• Help deliver projects while developing technical and professional skills.
