Job description

This is a Permanent position and Coleman James Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an industry leading contractor as a Geo-Environmental Engineer. This is an excellent role for an experienced professional looking to further their career in land remediation and environmental engineering, working across a range of innovative and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Undertake on-site chemical and geotechnical sampling, laboratory scheduling, and results interpretation
2. Conduct site investigation works, including geotechnical logging to British Standards
3. Assist with the technical review of tender documentation and evaluation of chemical and geotechnical data
4. Implement and manage environmental monitoring on sites (noise, odour, vibration, and dust assessments)
5. Produce factual geo-environmental and verification reports
6. Carry out geotechnical analysis and testing both on-site and in our in-house laboratory
7. Liaise with client teams and project delivery personnel
8. Classify waste in accordance with relevant industry standards and guidance

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• 4–5 years' experience in the ground remediation and/or land contamination sector
