The Vacancy

RSK Geosciences is recruiting for a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team based in Hemel Hempstead, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Geosciences team provides consultancy and design services to clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies, and local authorities. RSK offers a rewarding career with opportunities for Continuous Professional Development and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in various geo-environmental projects for external clients and internal teams
• Assist with ground investigations and desk studies
• Conduct soil logging according to UK standards, including lab scheduling
• Experience in soil sampling and water monitoring
• Write factual and interpretative reports
• Knowledge of contaminated land legislation and reporting
• Prepare factual site investigation data
• Travel within the UK as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, or similar
• MSc is desirable
• Working towards professional membership with a goal of chartership
• Basic knowledge of planning legislation
• Experience in site inspections and reporting, preferably residential
• Ability to perform basic factual and interpretative assessments
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
• Effective time and resource management skills
• Full UK driving license
