Job summary

A leading construction consulting firm in Cheltenham is looking for a Geo-Environmental Engineer. You will conduct various assessments, prepare reports, and support Geo-Environmental projects across multiple sectors. A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science is required, along with some consultancy experience. Job description

As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be required to prepare and input to different stages of Geo-Environmental and Ground Engineering deliverables, supporting the company’s growth on all aspects of projects including public, infrastructure, life sciences, nuclear and aviation.

The role

• Undertake various assessments, preparing reporting and supporting on all geo-environmental tasks as required
• Keep up to date with Geo-Environmental design trends / customer awareness / design techniques.
• Review specialist subcontractor’s reports for technical compliance with design intent.
• Represent our client on site visits where required.
• Support the development of Geo-Environmental service capabilities across our client's geographic locations.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or another relevant subject.
• Working towards Chartership with an appropriate body (GeolSoc, ICE, IMMM, CIWEM etc)
• Some experience within a Geo-Environmental / Engineering Consultancy
• Experience supporting preparation of Phase 1 and Phase 2 geo-environmental technical reports, including Ground Gas risk assessment
• Scheduling of Geo-Environmental laboratory testing.
• Production of Ground Investigation Specifications
• Experience supervising ground investigation activities
