We are seeking driven individuals who think differently and enjoy challenging conventional thinking to join a growing, collaborative team of professionals addressing industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. We are currently seeking a Geo-environmental Consultant to join our Ground Assessment team in Newcastle. The Ground Assessment team offers geo-environmental and geotechnical services and works on water company frameworks, infrastructure and community development projects within multidisciplinary teams from preliminary design through to construction. The role may include team management, client relationship management, business development and strategic support, depending on your interests and experience. This position offers opportunities across Stantec UK&I as the wider business grows.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist input to a broad range of projects through all stages of the project lifecycle relating to materials characterisation and contaminated site management.
  • Possibly contribute to team management, client relationship management, business development and strategic support depending on experience.
Qualifications
  • Degree in an earth sciences, environmental or engineering discipline.
  • Chartered or actively working towards chartership with a relevant professional institution.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to establish new working relationships with clients, joint venture partners and stakeholders, and to network with peers.
  • Solid experience in the assessment of land quality evaluation and contaminated site management within a consulting environment.
