Job summary

Macstaff is seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant – Oil Spill Response to join a progressive environmental specialist delivering sustainable solutions across contaminated land and remediation. The role is field/home based with regional travel, ideally located across the Midlands, North of England or Scottish Borders.

Qualifications

• Circa 2-7 years' experience within geo-environmental, contaminated land, remediation or pollution response.
• Experience of domestic oil spills or heating-oil contamination would be advantageous.
• Practical site investigation experience.
• Understanding of contaminated land investigation and UK environmental regulation.
• Knowledge of soil and groundwater contamination.
• Ability to interpret site data and contribute to technical reports.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geoscience, Hydrogeology or similar.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undertake field-based work and regional travel.

To be successful as Geo-Environmental Consultant – Oil Spill Response, you will ideally have:
