Overview

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are seeking a Principal GEO-Environmental Consultant to join a leading engineering consultancy, in a permanent position. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis, from our client's office located in Basingstoke, 3 days a week. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of engineers and professionals, working on projects centred around rail, infrastructure, utilities, and energy.

Responsibilities
  • Produce ground models, investigate contamination risks, and suggest and implement effective remedies or ways of preventing or limiting those risks.
  • Conduct environmental and geotechnical site inspections and analysis, collecting and reporting data for effective documentation and records.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation, specifications, and design feedback.
  • Inform clients and stakeholders of the potential risks that could arise during the design and implementation stages.
  • Ensure that all on-going, and planned works, align with Health and Safety, and CDM, regulations and polices, as well as environmental legislations.
  • Analyse designs and documents from other professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory and technical requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Geology, and/or Environmental Science Engineering, or a related field.
  • At, or working towards, a charted status, with prior experience working on environmental and geotechnical projects.
  • Extensive experience leading and managing teams, as well as possessing business development experience.
  • Solid grasp of current environmental and geotechnical principles and testing techniques.
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to build and maintain rapport with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Willingness to do hands-on work, when required
