RPS is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our environment team as an apprentice. The role can be based in Bristol, Abingdon, London, or Manchester. It is ideal for someone passionate about geology and contaminated land, interested in a mix of office and site work, and willing to travel.
We will support and sponsor the successful candidate through a relevant environmental degree course (part-time, with block releases for 6–10 weeks annually) over five years. The remaining time will involve supporting our geo-environmental teams in activities such as environmental and geotechnical ground investigations, monitoring programs, audits, and related tasks for our clients.

During your apprenticeship, you will have a dedicated mentor and opportunities to learn from our technical experts in areas like ground investigation, soil and rock logging, risk assessments, desk studies, minerals and ground engineering appraisals, and waste classification. The salary ranges from £161 to £334 per week (dependent on age), aligned with government minimum wage.
