Job summary
NHS Highland in Inverness is seeking a Genetic Specialist Nurse to join the North of Scotland Clinical Genetics Service based at Raigmore Hospital. The role covers genetics across the life course, with clinics for inherited conditions and collaboration with teaching and research.
The successful candidate must be an experienced registered nurse; some genetic knowledge and experience with clinical genetics would be advantageous. Flexible working options may be available.
Qualifications
- Experienced registered nurse requirement.
- Some genetic knowledge and experience with clinical genetics advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage mixed genetics case-load including general genetics, cancer genetics, cardiac and prenatal genetics.
- Work toward running clinics for inherited conditions.
- Engage in teaching and research opportunities within the genetics service.
