Job summary

Synnovis, King's College Hospital, London, is recruiting an Associate Genetic Technologist to join the Molecular Pathology laboratory.

The role involves DNA extraction, PCR setup and sequencing, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting within a fast-growing pathology service partnered with NHS trusts.

Candidate must hold a biomedical sciences or molecular degree and be committed to CPD and quality assurance in a busy lab.

Qualifications

• BSc Hons or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences or Molecular degree.
• Experience in diagnostic laboratory environments.
• Technical problem solving experience.
• Experience setting up diagnostic molecular assays.

Responsibilities

• Book in samples, extract DNA, and set up PCR assays.
• Maintain equipment, stocks, and accurate records.
• Work as part of a team and uphold safety and SOPs.
• Contribute to quality control and continual CPD.
