A leading health organization in Wales is seeking a Band 4 Therapy Assistant to support patients in their home environment. The role involves working closely with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to facilitate early discharge from hospital care. Candidates must have experience in acute or community services, strong communication skills, and be able to manage time effectively. A proficiency in computer skills is required. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 4 Therapy Assistant to join the discharge to recover and assess (D2RA) and Assessment and Discharge Team (ADT) service in the Central area of BCUHB. This service aims to facilitate early discharge from hospital and prevent admission to hospital. You will be working with patients with a wide variety of diagnoses providing support to the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide assessment and intervention in their home environment. The team comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and generic therapy assistants and you will be working closely with both hospital and community multidisciplinary teams.
The job is with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of services across North Wales. The team is based at Glan Clwyd Hospital and supports Conwy and Denbighshire.
