Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Workshop Generator Engineer to maintain, service, and prepare diesel generators for deployment. You will work in a busy workshop, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards before leaving the depot.

This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical capability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work in a structured environment. A UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with diesel generators or similar plant.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Experience with engine systems (e.g., Volvo, Scania, Perkins, MTU) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of control panels and generator systems (e.g., Deep Sea, ComAp) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators ranging from small sets to large multi‑megawatt units.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic software.
• Prepare generators, distribution equipment, and associated components for deployment to customer sites.
• Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all workshop activities meet ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 procedures.
