Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a Generator Winder to support internal and external customers with generator and exciter installations, inspections, maintenance, fault finding and repairs from minor repairs to full rewinds. The role involves windings on machines from 2MW to 1800MW and requires reading engineering drawings and outage plans.

Travel across the UK and internationally will be required. You will work within a team delivering reliable turbine island technology for nuclear power plants,

Qualifications

• Recognised Time served Apprenticeship in Armature Winding of Heavy electrical machines.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent on Electrical Machines.
• Fluency in English and ability to travel extensively across the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Electrical Winding Diagrams and windings.
• Perform inspections and minor repairs on generator windings.
• Rewind Generator Stators, Rotors and Exciters as needed.
• Support diagnostic tests and complex fault finding.
