Qualifications

  • Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems.
  • Complete paperwork and time-sheets in a timely manner.

Job description

We are recruiting for a leading Generator Servicing business based in the South of England. This role is key to our clients planned expansion. If you are looking to join an expanding business in a varied role that is servicing customer sites, then look no further.

The Person:

  • Apprentice Trained (NVQ 2 or 3).
  • 3 Years generator experience.
  • Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams.
  • Diagnostic and leadership skills able to work in a team or alone.
  • Great customer facing skills.

The Role:

  • You will be required to work both in a workshop and site environment
  • Be able to do mechanical and electrical fault finding
  • Repair and service of generators
  • Repair and service of associated equipment
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
  • Service equipment both on and off site
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Complete paperwork and time-sheets in a timely manner
  • Good customer service skills
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
  • Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • This role would suit a Generator Engineer, Generator Service Engineer, HGV Technician, Diesel Engineer or Mobile HGV Technician.

This role is hourly paid, between 17ph and 19ph with overtime at time + half. There is added benefits to this position including Death in Service, Westfield health plan, increasing holiday entitlement with service and a generous pension scheme.
