First Military Recruitment Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking a Generator Field Service Engineer to service and repair diesel generators across rental fleets. You will carry out planned servicing, fault diagnosis, and on-site surveys while maintaining high safety and quality standards and delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, involvement in an on-call rota, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar (e.g. City & Guilds / BTEC)
• Experience servicing and repairing generators
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• ECS, CSCS or CCNSG card desirable but training provided

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel generators.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs on rental generators, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
• Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements and maintenance needs.
• Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when required.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring company vehicles and work areas are clean, safe, and well organised.
• Deliver excellent customer service while building positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the success of the engineering team.
