The role

As a Generator and Diesel Engine Specialist , you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll become a key player in maintaining and improving critical infrastructure that supports national defence.

Day-to-day you’ll:

  • Provide expert support for engine-related systems in Building 220.
  • Diagnose and solve mechanical and POL (Petrol, Oils & Lubricants) issues.
  • Support maintenance teams and projects with your specialist knowledge.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld.
  • Act as an Authorised Person for Mechanical Pressure Systems and POL.

This role is full-time, 36 hours worked over 4 days, and is based on site at RNAD Coulport, near Helensburgh.

Essential experience of the Generator and Diesel Engine Specialist

  • You must have experience working on Diesel, Oil or Petrol Engines.
  • You will be experienced working on Generators.
