Job summary

You will work at the intersection of biology and computation to learn intervention effects from single-cell data and perturbation experiments, shaping the next generation of therapeutics.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in ML, statistics, CS or related quantitative field.
• Deep expertise in generative modelling.
• Strong foundations in probabilistic modelling and representation learning.
• Excellence in Python and HPC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design generative modelling approaches for intervention effects from diverse biological data.
• Develop models focusing on generalisation, counterfactuals, and experimental design.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to test computational hypotheses iteratively.
• Evaluate models for causal coherence and real-world utility in guiding experiments.
• Communicate findings clearly to multidisciplinary colleagues.
