Job summary

Side is seeking an AI Microservices Developer in London to build Python-based API microservices that call LLMs and generative models. You will deploy AI-enabled APIs with the DevOps team and support products, games, and internal tools across the organization.

You will work on the latest LLM technologies, translate business needs into API requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years building Python-based REST APIs.
• Experience with OpenAI LLM APIs.
• Understanding of micro-services architecture and scalable design.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience coding with Flask, Django or FastAPI.
• Ability to translate business needs into API requirements.
• Experience collaborating with DevOps and product teams.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM toolchains (OpenAI, Anthropic, Open Weights).

Responsibilities

• Develop and Architect Python-based API microservices for LLMs and generative models.
• Create AI-enabled API solutions to meet business needs.
• Keep up-to-date with OpenAI, Llama and Gemini technologies.
• Become the company's expert in LLM and Generative AI API methods.
• Translate business requirements into API specifications for microservices.
• Work with DevOps to deploy Python APIs live and maintain them.
• Integrate API microservices with other software across the org.
• Refine AI systems for performance and reliability across platforms.
• Write and debug core AI code; develop AI testing tooling.
• Identify challenges in AI development and implement solutions.
• Communicate with cross-disciplinary teams to align on needs.
