Synthires is seeking experienced Generalist Writers to contribute to specialized AI quality and evaluation projects. You will assess written content and AI responses for accuracy, clarity, and consistency while helping improve performance of next-generation AI systems.

The role requires native US English, strong editing/writing skills, and the ability to work remotely for at least 20 hours per week. A four-week project sprint is included with potential extension.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on clarity and precision.
• Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and evaluation guidelines consistently.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to objectively assess written information.
• Ability to provide concise, constructive, and well-supported feedback.
• Immediate availability with the ability to commit at least 20 hours per week.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, hourly engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI evaluation, content evaluation, quality assurance, or model-training projects.
• Background in professional writing, journalism, communications, content strategy, editing, or research.
• Experience reviewing large volumes of written content against structured rubrics or quality standards.
• Familiarity with documentation, reporting, and evaluation workflows.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to consistently meet project deadlines and quality requirements.
• Experience identifying and documenting instruction-following issues and content-quality discrepancies.

Compensation

• Competitive compensation of $40–$50/hour.
