Job summary

Middlesbrough Council - Community Learning Service is offering a fixed-term General Teaching Assistant position for the Personalised Learning Programme at Lingfield College. The post supports teaching and learning, with a focus on inclusion and wellbeing.

• Prepare classroom as directed for lessons (including resources and equipment) and to clear away after.
• Support teacher in managing pupil behaviour and reporting difficulties as appropriate.
• Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning.
• Establish good relationships with learners and have experience in dealing with students with behavioural issues.
• Promote the inclusion of all pupils and encourage pupils to interact with each other and engage in activities led on by the teacher.
• Promote Heath and Wellbeing and comply with all policies and procedures including health & safety, prevent duty, equality and diversity and learner support.
