Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registrar in General and Emergency Surgery. The post involves a resident on-call rota, day-to-day ward duties and assisting Consultants in theatre. The team cross-covers multiple theatre sessions, including robotic theatre, clinics and endoscopy.

GMC registration and a medical degree with FRCS/MRCS or equivalent are expected. The department supports specialists aiming for Registration and works within a strong Surgical CSU with

Qualifications

• GMC Registration and Medical degree with FRCS/MRCS or equivalent are required.
• Registrar level experience in General and Emergency Surgery is desirable.
• Ability to manage common surgical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Work on a resident on-call rota and day-to-day ward duties.
• Assist Consultants in theatre when required.
• Cross-cover theatre sessions including robotic theatre, clinics and endoscopy.
