Job Description

The General Service Technician is a full-time or part-time hourly role responsible for basic vehicle repairs and maintenance according to company and manufacturer standards. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional 5-star customer service through effective communication and quality work.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately.
2. Conduct tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repair.
3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, basic maintenance, and battery testing and installation.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
5. Assist in inventory management by pulling and stocking tires and parts.
6. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure a guest-ready environment.
7. Follow safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
8. Test drive vehicles following company policies and safety laws.
9. Adhere to all company policies, environmental codes, and OSHA standards.
10. Maintain technical knowledge through training and courses.
11. Operate and maintain equipment safely per manufacturer guidelines.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
