Compensation

The hourly range for in-store roles is $15.00-$20.00 per hour. This role is eligible for additional incentives. Pay depends on experience.

The hourly range for mobile, on-the-road roles is $18-$25 per hour. This role is also eligible for additional incentives. Pay depends on experience.

Job Role: General Service Technician

About The Role:

This full-time or part-time hourly position involves performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The technician provides exceptional 5-star service by communicating vehicle issues effectively and ensuring guest expectations are met regarding time and quality.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently, adhering to Monro standards.
  2. Handle tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, mounting, installation, and TPMS repairs.
  3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, bulb, wiper, filter replacements, and battery testing/installation.
  4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
  5. Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
  6. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is guest-ready.
  7. Follow safety standards during all services, including torque and oil safety procedures.
  8. Test drive vehicles following company policies, observing safety laws.
  9. Adhere to company policies, government standards, and safety protocols.
  10. Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training.
  11. Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts and welders.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Automotive training or equivalent experience.
  3. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  4. Own basic tools or participate in the Monro tool purchase program.
