About The Role:

Compensation is $17-19 per hour based on experience, including additional incentives.

The General Service Technician role involves both front and back shop responsibilities, including at least two days per week at the front counter. Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance, communicating issues and solutions to guests, and playing a key role as a key holder and manager on duty when needed. The role focuses on providing excellent guest experiences, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently according to Monro standards, including tire services and vehicle maintenance.
  • Complete Courtesy Inspections on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
  • Assist with inventory management and store duties, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Perform services following safety standards and test drive vehicles as per policies.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through training and operate equipment safely.
  • Assist in guest care, work order completion, and store operations under management supervision.
  • Understand and communicate Monro’s products and services to guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; automotive training or experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and stooping.
