Job description

Schools in Norfolk are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teachers to join their dynamic Science department. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4) and contribute to a thriving learning environment. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we welcome applications from individuals passionate about delivering engaging and high-quality Science education. This role begins ASAP.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver exciting and interactive Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) with confidence.

  • Foster curiosity and enthusiasm for Science through practical experiments and inquiry-based learning.

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing tailored support where needed.

  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, engagement, and achievement.

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, and educational trips.

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).

  • A creative and innovative approach to Science education.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.
